Coastline Homeless and Social Exclusion Service (Day Centre)

The day centre is situated at Chi Winder on Dudnance Lane in Pool, and is the main hub for the Coastline Homeless Service. It is for adults aged 18 years and above, but you do not have to be homeless, so we invite you to come and have a look around and speak to us if you would like some support with your current situation. The centre is also the main office for the majority of our staff who deal with referrals to other areas of the service and agencies. Opening hours and telephone numbers Visit us or call 01209 200086 from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Reception area You can make enquiries, use the computers, plus free telephone for important calls. There are facilities for hot drinks and light refreshments. Health for Homeless This GP service for people who are not registered with a local doctor runs clinics every day. Ask at reception to make an appointment. Support services There is help from a wide range of organisations, including Shelter and Addaction, or support from our staff when you need it: Housing Money and benefits Drugs and alcohol advice Education, employment, job applications and training Laundry and shower facilities These are available free of charge for everyone even if you are in accommodation, from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm. Donations Clothes, household items and books which are very kindly donated to us by the public. Food vouchers A limited number of vouchers are available which entitle you to a large bundle of free food for you and your family. Ask at reception for more information. Courses and activities We run lots of different sessions. Check the noticeboards for updates, or ask at reception if there is something you would like to try.
